Most travelers have witnessed passengers unbuckling their seatbelts or standing up too early after an aircraft lands. This common behavior occurs as the plane slows down, with some eager travelers reaching for their overhead baggage while the aircraft is still moving. Such actions are not only unsafe but also against regulations.

The Turkish government aims to address this issue by introducing fines for passengers who engage in these behaviors. The move is intended to ensure safety and compliance with aviation regulations.

"Most of us who have traveled have seen it happen: The aircraft touches down and conducts a safe landing and proceeds to the gate or remote stand," notes a statement on the matter. "As the jet slows down, you hear a few ‘clicks’ around the cabin - the premature unbuckling of seatbelts."

The government's initiative highlights its commitment to passenger safety and adherence to rules during air travel.
