In early June, Etihad Airways launched two new European destinations, expanding its network to Prague, Czechia, and Warsaw, Poland. The Abu Dhabi-based airline now joins Emirates and Qatar Airways in connecting these cities with their respective hubs.

Etihad's flights to Prague and Warsaw began on June 2 and June 3 with Boeing 787-9 aircraft. This expansion is part of the airline's efforts to diversify its network. According to Etihad Airways, both routes will operate four times a week, providing "business and leisure travelers with convenient access to these vibrant European capitals."

The airline's European network now includes 29 destinations as of June. Additionally, Etihad Airways recently launched flights from Abu Dhabi to Sochi International Airport in Russia.

Emirates also expanded its European routes by restarting flights to Edinburgh Airport using Airbus A350-900 aircraft. However, the airline faces challenges due to aircraft delivery delays. Emirates plans to offer over 2 million premium economy seats by the end of 2025.

Qatar Airways operates the largest network among Middle East carriers with flights to 177 destinations. During FY24/25, it launched services to Hamburg Airport and resumed flights to Lisbon and Venice.

Etihad Airways has planned 252 weekly departures from Abu Dhabi to Europe in June. The airline uses various aircraft for these routes including the A380 for flights to London-Heathrow and Paris-Charles de Gaulle.

Emirates connects Dubai International Airport with 40 European airports. Its busiest route is London-Heathrow with six daily departures operated by A380s.

Qatar Airways serves 46 European destinations with its busiest route being London-Heathrow at nine daily flights on Saturdays in June.

Both Emirates and Qatar Airways use a mix of narrowbody and widebody aircraft for their European operations. Six other airlines fly between Doha and Europe alongside Qatar Airways.
