Allegiant Air | Wikipedia

Allegiant Air, an ultra-low-cost carrier, has rapidly expanded its operations with the Boeing 737 MAX 8-200 aircraft. Since receiving its first delivery in September 2024, Allegiant now operates a fleet of 12 of these aircraft. This variant is capable of carrying up to 200 passengers but is configured by Allegiant to accommodate 190 passengers.

"Despite only taking its first delivery less than nine months ago, Allegiant is now the world's second-largest operator of the MAX 8200 behind launch customer Ryanair," states the airline's recent announcement. The company plans further expansion with future additions to their fleet, including the Boeing 737 MAX 7 once it receives certification.

In June, several routes will see increased use of the MAX 8-200s. The St. Pete–Clearwater to Chattanooga route will feature 17 flights, offering a total of 3,230 seats over a distance of 513 miles. Similarly, St. Pete–Clearwater to Concord-Padgett Regional Airport will also have 17 flights in June.

The connection between Orlando Sanford and Flint Bishop International will include 18 roundtrips using the MAX aircraft. Grand Rapids Gerald R. Ford International Airport will see Allegiant operating a total of 23 roundtrips from Orlando Sanford with this aircraft type.

Blue Grass Airport in Lexington appears twice on Allegiant's list for June services involving the MAX planes. From Orlando Sanford, there are scheduled to be 24 roundtrips between these two locations.

Allegiant's operations out of Orlando Sanford also extend to Harrisburg International Airport with a planned schedule of 26 flights for June.

Chattanooga Airport and Springfield-Branson National are among other airports seeing significant passenger traffic and services from Allegiant's new fleet addition.

Allegiant continues its strategic growth plan through investments in key airports like Concord-Padgett Regional and by leveraging its high-density seating configurations across popular routes.
