Federal Express Corporation has collaborated with the non-profit organization Feed the Children to donate educational supplies to children in Cebu and Negros Oriental, Philippines. This initiative is part of the FedEx Cares program, which aims to support education and community development.

A total of 40 FedEx volunteers participated in filling backpacks with school supplies for 2,400 students from farming and fishing communities. The effort seeks to aid their educational pursuits in the upcoming school year.

The partnership with Feed the Children addresses barriers to education in the Philippines. According to UNICEF, only half of children aged three to four are enrolled in daycare, and 78% complete basic education. By providing necessary school supplies, FedEx and Feed the Children aim to alleviate some of the burdens on families and ensure continuity in learning.

“At FedEx, our commitment goes beyond delivering school supplies—we aim to uplift the communities we serve. This initiative reflects our purpose of connecting people with possibilities and empowering the next generation to thrive and reach their full potential,” said Maribeth Espinosa, managing director of FedEx Philippines. “Education is the foundation of a brighter future, and we’re proud to help make that future more accessible for children in Cebu and Negros Oriental.”

Bregeita Jefferson, President of FEED International, added: “Our continued collaboration with FedEx reminds us that real change begins when communities come together. These school kits represent more than supplies; they carry hope, dignity, and opportunity.”

The FedEx Cares program is part of a broader strategy focusing on global community engagement through Delivering for Good, Advancing Climate Solutions, and Empowering Entrepreneurs. In the Philippines, FedEx continues investing in programs that foster inclusivity and create opportunities for success.
