FedEx Express Corporation has announced a significant shift in its operations within Vietnam, transitioning to a direct-serve presence to address the country's growing demand for international shipping. This move is part of FedEx's strategy to enhance competitiveness and prepare for future growth in this crucial market.

Vietnamese businesses now have greater access to FedEx's range of international shipping solutions and digital tools through the company's website. Song Binh Trading and Services Co., Ltd. will continue handling pickup, delivery, and customs clearance services across Vietnam. Additionally, local businesses and individual shippers can benefit from expanded access to FedEx Billing Online for better shipment management, flexible payment options, and improved customer support.

Ee-Hui Tan, Managing Director of FedEx Vietnam and Cambodia, stated: “We are excited to commence direct serve in Vietnam, reinforcing our commitment to this fast-growing market. This enhancement brings us closer to our customers, further streamline shipping processes, and provide more convenience for local businesses and individual shippers.” Tan emphasized that this development would support local businesses aiming for overseas expansion while contributing to Vietnam's economic growth.

Bianca Wong, Vice President Southeast Asia Operations at FedEx, noted: “Southeast Asia is one of the most dynamic regions for global trade, and Vietnam is at the heart of this momentum. Its strategic location, skilled workforce, and pro-trade policies have made it a vital link in international supply chains." Wong highlighted that FedEx's ongoing investments in Vietnam demonstrate its commitment to helping customers unlock global trade opportunities.

Since 1994, FedEx has been instrumental in connecting Vietnam with global markets through reliable logistics services. In April 2025, the company launched a new flight connecting Southeast Asian countries with the U.S., including six weekly flights operated by a dedicated Boeing 777 freighter. These shipments are consolidated in Ho Chi Minh City before being transported via Singapore directly to Anchorage. With 42 weekly flights out of Vietnam globally, FedEx continues its dedication to timely international shipping.
