Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) has announced an expansion of access to pet relief stations throughout the airport, aiming to better accommodate travelers with animals. The announcement was made on X.

According to Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), LAX provides pet relief stations both pre- and post-security in every terminal, ensuring accessibility for travelers with service animals and pets. These stations are equipped with artificial turf, waste disposal bags, and hand sanitizer to maintain cleanliness and hygiene. The availability of these facilities across all terminals underscores LAX's commitment to accommodating passengers traveling with animals.

As reported by The Points Guy, LAX boasts more pet relief stations than any other U.S. airport, with eight post-security stations distributed throughout the terminals and three additional stations located outside the airport doors. This extensive network of pet relief areas provides convenience for travelers, allowing pets to relieve themselves without the need to exit and re-enter security checkpoints. The strategic placement of these stations reflects LAX's efforts to enhance the travel experience for passengers accompanied by animals.

According to the American Kennel Club, Los Angeles International Airport features 11 pet relief areas, comprising both indoor and outdoor locations. Three of these stations are situated before security checkpoints, while the remaining eight are located post-security, allowing travelers to tend to their pets without leaving the secure area. This comprehensive provision of pet relief facilities positions LAX as one of the most accommodating airports for passengers traveling with animals.
