Aer Lingus, the national airline of Ireland, has announced that its seven busiest routes in June are all to destinations in the United Kingdom. These routes include flights from Dublin, Cork, and Belfast airports. The majority of these flights originate from Dublin Airport, with one route each from Cork and Belfast.

The Common Travel Area agreement between Ireland and the UK means there are no international border checks for passengers on these routes. This arrangement is similar to the Schengen Area in Europe.

According to Cirium, an aviation analytics company, Aer Lingus's seventh-busiest route is from Cork to London-Heathrow with 240 return flights scheduled for June. Aer Lingus operates this route exclusively using Airbus A320neos.

The sixth-busiest route is between Dublin and Manchester with 264 return flights. These flights are operated by Emerald Airlines on behalf of Aer Lingus Regional using ATR-72-600 aircraft.

Dublin to Birmingham ranks fifth with 290 return flights. Like the Manchester route, it is also operated by Emerald Airlines using ATR-72s.

The fourth-busiest route is Dublin to Glasgow with 328 return flights. Both Aer Lingus (through Emerald Airlines) and Ryanair operate this route daily.

Belfast City to Birmingham comes third with 334 return flights. This intra-UK route is notable as it connects two regions within the United Kingdom itself.

The second-busiest route is Dublin to Edinburgh with 390 return flights scheduled for June. This makes it the busiest Emerald Airlines-operated service for Aer Lingus during this period.

Finally, the busiest Aer Lingus route is from Dublin to London-Heathrow with a total of 615 return flights planned for June. British Airways also serves this busy corridor but at a lower frequency compared to Aer Lingus.

Aer Lingus's operations highlight its significant presence in connecting Ireland with various parts of the UK through frequent services across multiple key routes.
