Alaska Airlines is set to enhance its inflight dining experience by expanding its fresh food offerings. Starting June 4, 2025, passengers flying from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and other locations will have more options to choose from. The airline aims to provide a memorable dining experience with fresh and flavorful meals.

Passengers in the Main Cabin can now pre-order their favorite meals through the airline's app. Alaska Airlines is also introducing new first-class dining options with a rotating chef series featuring diverse dishes from West Coast chefs.

From June 4, Main Cabin passengers on short-haul routes between 670 and 774 miles can pre-order the Signature Fruit & Cheese Platter, which accounts for 38% of all fresh food sales. The platter includes cheese made in Washington and Oregon, crackers, apple slices, grapes, and a chocolate truffle by Maeve.

Additionally, the Jetsetter's Jam will be available on these flights. This dish consists of cashew butter and strawberry jam between croissant bread, served with fruit and cheddar cheese. This menu expansion coincides with National Cheese Day on June 4.

Mark Krolick, Managing Director of Inflight Guest Products at Alaska Airlines, stated: "For over a decade, our Signature Fruit & Cheese Platter has been the most requested and beloved offering on board. We’re thrilled to continue delivering what our guests love and what Alaska is known for."

The expanded menu is available exclusively through pre-order via the mobile app from two weeks up to 20 hours before the flight. Routes between 670 and 774 miles include Anchorage-Barrow, Las Vegas-Portland, Seattle-Salt Lake City, Seattle-San Francisco, and Seattle-Oakland.

For flights over 1,100 miles, five chef-curated dishes are offered including a plant-based gluten-free option in partnership with Evergreens.

In May, Alaska Airlines launched the Chef’s (tray) Table program designed by renowned West Coast chefs like James Beard Award-winner Brady Ishiwata Williams. The program features seasonal menus for first-class passengers.

The initiative builds on previous collaborations such as one with Chef Brandon Jew that introduced an exclusive menu for first-class passengers between San Francisco and New York-JFK. Chef Jew owns Mr Jiu’s restaurant in San Francisco while Chef Williams owns Tomo restaurant in Seattle.

Alaska Airlines continues to offer varied dining choices aiming to reflect the West Coast’s culinary culture through seasonal chef series menus.
