Orlando International Airport | Official Website

Orlando International Airport is a major hub for leisure travel in the United States, hosting a mix of legacy and low-cost airlines. Among these carriers, Frontier Airlines stands out with its significant presence at the airport. As an ultra-low-cost carrier, Frontier focuses on offering discounted flights primarily connecting smaller travel gateways to high-demand leisure destinations.

Frontier operates a dynamic point-to-point route network from Orlando, one of its largest operating bases. The airline serves over 35 cities year-round, including major hubs like Chicago-O’Hare and Denver International Airport. Additionally, it flies to several smaller destinations such as Gerald R. Ford International in Grand Rapids and Harrisburg International Airport.

The airline's network also includes major Northeastern hubs like Boston Logan and New York's airports, as well as Southern gateways such as Charlotte Douglas and Houston Hobby. These flights mainly cater to leisure travelers heading to Orlando but also serve passengers traveling from Orlando to popular destinations.

Frontier connects Orlando with West Coast leisure spots like Los Angeles, Phoenix-Sky Harbor, and Las Vegas. It also offers international services to Caribbean destinations such as Cancun, Punta Cana, and Montego Bay. Seasonal services extend to locations in the Upper Midwest and Plains regions.

The airline’s longest routes from Orlando include San Francisco (2,445 miles), Los Angeles (2,217 miles), Las Vegas (2,039 miles), Phoenix (1,848 miles), Denver (1,545 miles), Sint Maarten (1,358 miles), and Portland in Maine (1,214 miles). These routes serve both major markets and niche leisure destinations.

Frontier’s fleet consists entirely of Airbus A320 family aircraft: six A320-200s, 82 A320neos, 21 A321-200s, and 53 A321neos. This uniformity allows cost efficiency and operational flexibility. The airline plans further modernization with orders for more Airbus models.

Overall, Frontier Airlines maintains a diverse network from Orlando International Airport by serving various destination types while keeping fares low through its ultra-low-cost model.
