Delta Air Lines' subsidiary, Endeavor Air, grounded 45 Bombardier CRJ-900 regional jets due to issues with WiFi systems. As a result, Delta canceled 75 flights on June 5, 2025, with an additional 35 cancellations anticipated. Details of the WiFi-related problems remain unclear, but grounding such a significant portion of the fleet suggests potential safety concerns.
Endeavor Air operates under Delta's banner and is independently incorporated. It flies Bombardier CRJ-700 and CRJ-900 jets within the United States and to select Caribbean and Canadian destinations. The grounded planes represent about 30% of Endeavor's operational fleet.
Delta stated: "We apologize to customers whose Delta Connection flights, operated by our regional partner Endeavor Air, were disrupted Thursday. Our customer service teams are working directly with customers to find alternative options to get them to their destination as quickly as possible while Endeavor's Technical Operations teams work diligently to return aircraft to service."
