서울, 대한민국 — 페덱스는 '2025 FedEx/JA 국제무역창업대회'의 한국 결선을 통해 3개 팀, 총 6명의 수상자를 발표했다. 이들은 오는 8월 싱가포르에서 열리는 아시아태평양 지역 결선에 한국 대표로 참가할 예정이다.
페덱스는 2007년부터 주니어어치브먼트 코리아와 협력해 국내 청소년들의 기업가 정신 함양을 지원하고 있다. ITC 프로그램은 학생들에게 국제무역을 주제로 한 팀 프로젝트와 워크숍 참여 기회를 제공한다.
한국 본선 우승팀은 Disruptor(권 범, 이제이미), NexTrade(이주은, 한도연), NextVibe(강민서, 김지환)다. 올해 과제는 중국 시장 진출 전략을 세우고 반품으로 인한 패스트패션 폐기물을 줄이는 친환경 제품 개발이었다.
박원빈 페덱스 코리아 지사장은 "FedEx/JA 국제무역창업대회를 통해 학생들이 자신의 가능성을 발견하고 국제적인 시각을 넓히며 성공하는 데 필요한 핵심 역량을 갖출 수 있도록 지원하게 돼 자랑스럽게 생각한다"고 말했다.
아시아태평양 지역 결선은 홍콩, 인도네시아, 일본 등 여러 국가의 대표들과 함께 개최된다. 대회는 다양한 문화적 배경의 젊은 예비 창업가들과 협업하고 아이디어를 교류할 특별한 기회를 제공할 예정이다.
현재까지 2,900명 이상의 한국 학생들이 대회에 참가했으며, 몇몇 팀은 아시아태평양 지역 결선에서 우승을 차지했다.
