In the past week, several new airline routes have been launched between the US, Canada, and Europe. Notably, Neos began flights from Bari to New York JFK on June 3, TAP Air Portugal started its Lisbon-Terceira-San Francisco route, and Norse Atlantic introduced its longest route from Athens to Los Angeles. On June 4, Air Canada commenced Montreal-Porto flights, while American Airlines launched three new routes on June 5: Charlotte-Athens, Dallas/Fort Worth-Venice, and Miami-Rome. Air Canada also initiated a Toronto-Prague service on June 6.

"KLM launched flights from Amsterdam (where else?) to Georgetown," marking it as the second European airline to serve Guyana after British Airways. The Dutch carrier now flies to 11 South American airports with Georgetown joining this list.

Southwest Airlines has expanded its operations by starting six West Coast routes from Baltimore on June 5. These include first-time services to Long Beach and Ontario as well as reintroductions of flights to San Jose, Portland, and Seattle.

"Scoot inaugurated flights from Singapore to Vienna," which is now the airline's longest route at 5,241 nautical miles each way. This development follows Singapore Airlines' cessation of Austria-bound flights 25 years ago.

Air Canada's inaugural flight from Vancouver to Tampa took off on June 3. The twice-weekly Boeing 737 MAX 8 service will primarily target local passengers but offers connections to other destinations like Tokyo and Seoul.

Spirit Airlines continues expanding by adding Chattanooga and Columbia airports to its network with three routes each starting in early June. "Spirit recently emerged from bankruptcy protection," signaling a period of growth for the carrier.

Aeromexico launched two new US routes on June 5: one daily flight connecting Mexico City with Philadelphia using a Boeing 737-800 and another linking San Luis Potosí with Atlanta through Aeromexico Connect's E190 aircraft in partnership with Delta.
