I've been fortunate to visit Malaysia frequently, a country that offers a diverse mix of attractions such as battlefield tourism, WWII history, wildlife, hidden bars, and a vibrant blend of cultural influences. Popular destinations like Kuala Lumpur, Penang, and Langkawi continue to attract visitors from Australia. However, lesser-known places like Ipoh, Klang, Malacca, and Kuching are emerging as exciting alternatives.

The way we travel is evolving alongside our choice of destinations. On a recent AirAsia flight to Malaysia, I experienced premium seating with extra legroom and enjoyed Malaysian meals on board. The crew's attentiveness was notable.

AirAsia has introduced new routes from Darwin and Adelaide to Kuala Lumpur. These offer fresh options for travelers in those cities and encourage exploration of new Australian destinations.

AirAsia is gaining recognition as a sustainable airline. Their sustainability report highlights their commitment in this area. In Malaysia, they facilitate airport transfers through their rideshare service using mostly hybrid and electric vehicles.

In accommodation services, AirAsia has partnered with the luxury Ormond brand to offer boutique experiences in Kuala Lumpur. The 'Chow Kit - an Ormond Hotel' is located near the famous Chow Kit markets and provides both guided and self-guided walking tours.
