Allegiant Air has announced the first commercial arrival at Gulf Shores International Airport with Flight 1403, alongside the launch of six nonstop routes.

According to Fox10TV, the inaugural commercial flight into Gulf Shores took place on May 21, 2025. Flight 1403 from Knoxville landed slightly ahead of schedule and was greeted by cheers and a traditional water cannon salute from the Gulf Shores Fire Department. Local officials have indicated that establishing commercial air service fulfills a longstanding goal for the region, reducing travel times and enhancing tourism potential. Community leaders believe this marks the beginning of sustained economic growth and improved connectivity for Gulf Shores and Baldwin County.

Allegiant Air’s post on X celebrated Flight 1403’s arrival, stating, "There was cheering. There were water cannons," affirming its status as the first-ever commercial arrival into Gulf Shores International Airport. The post emphasized that this milestone heralds the airline’s commitment to growing services at the destination. Celebratory imagery underscores Allegiant’s leisure-focused branding and dedication to new markets.
