Aeromexico has announced the introduction of daily nonstop flights between Mexico City International Airport and Philadelphia International Airport.

According to Philadelphia International Airport, this development marks the first nonstop service reconnecting Mexico City and Philadelphia since January 2019, restoring a crucial link between the two cities. The inaugural flight took off on June 6, 2025, with airport officials estimating that the route could generate over $30 million in economic impact for the region.

Aviacionline reports that the service operates daily using Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft with a capacity of 166 seats, comprising 16 in Clase Premier and 150 in Main Cabin. The inaugural flight, AM 608, departed Mexico City at 1:58 p.m. local time and landed in Philadelphia at 8:12 p.m., completing a journey of four hours and fourteen minutes.

Aeromexico's decision aligns with its joint cooperation strategy with Delta Air Lines, as highlighted by Philadelphia International Airport's announcement. Philadelphia becomes Aeromexico's 26th U.S. destination. This launch follows the rollout of 28 new U.S.–Mexico transborder routes in 2024–2025, reinforcing its cross-border network presence.

Aeromexico is Mexico’s flag carrier and a founding member of the SkyTeam alliance. It operates over 90 global destinations using a modern fleet that includes Boeing 737-MAX and 787 Dreamliners, alongside its regional subsidiary Aeromexico Connect supporting feeder operations.
