Eurowings has been awarded the title of "Best Low-Cost Airline in Europe 2025" at the Skytrax World Airline Awards. This event, known as the "Oscars of the aviation industry," was held on June 17 at a gala during the Paris Air Show at Le Bourget's Air and Space Museum.

The award acknowledges Eurowings' consistent quality strategy and its expansion as a value airline in Europe. Edward Plaisted, CEO of Skytrax, commented, "We congratulate Eurowings on this excellent achievement. Europe is the most competitive market in the world for low-cost airlines – this success is all the more remarkable. Eurowings' management and employees can be very proud of this award, which demonstrates the high quality of their service and hospitality."

Skytrax had previously recognized Eurowings with a four-star certification in 2024, making it the first German airline in the low-cost segment to achieve this distinction.

Jens Bischof, CEO of Eurowings, stated, "The award as Europe's best low-cost airline is an outstanding honor for our entire team – both in the air and on the ground. We have consistently reorganized Eurowings in recent years, with a clear focus on quality, reliability and customer orientation. The award shows that our commitment is recognized – and appreciated."

The recognition was based on global customer surveys conducted by Skytrax with over 20 million responses. Key factors contributing to Eurowings' success included service quality, professional crews, a modern fleet, lounge access, flexible rebooking options, and participation in the Miles & More program.
