O'Hare International Airport has announced its collaboration with the James Beard Foundation to highlight a comprehensive Chicago foodie guide. This guide features essential dining spots across the city and at both O'Hare and Midway airports, aiming to provide travelers with access to top culinary destinations from arrival to departure.

In celebration of the James Beard Awards on June 16, O'Hare Airport partnered with HMSHost to launch the JBF@ORD Chef Series. According to Eater, this series has featured renowned chefs such as Rick Bayless, Carlos Gaytán, Yanni Sanchez, and Juan Gutierrez. Travelers passing through Terminals 1 and 3 have had the opportunity to sample their signature dishes live, experiencing everything from cooking demonstrations to book signings, effectively bringing a slice of Chicago’s food culture into the terminals.

Eater reports that with over 270 restaurants and shops across both O’Hare and Midway airports, locally inspired food is easily accessible for visitors. O’Hare has been recognized as one of the top airport dining destinations in the United States due to pop-up food festivals, chef-driven counters like Tortas Frontera, and full-service venues featuring menus from Chicago favorites.
