The 2025 Paris Air Show at Le Bourget was marked by a subdued atmosphere following the recent Air India disaster in Ahmedabad. The tragic event significantly impacted Boeing's participation, as the company refrained from announcing new orders and focused on supporting its customers. Staff members wore pins featuring Air India's logo to honor those who lost their lives.

Airbus emerged as the leading manufacturer at the airshow, securing 248 firm orders, including Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and Letters of Intent (LoIs), along with an additional 156 aircraft options. Notably, VietJet announced a major order for up to 150 Airbus A321neos.

Embraer also reported moderate success, obtaining 77 firm commitments and 55 options. SkyWest Airlines' order for up to 90 E175s was among the most significant deals, reinforcing Embraer's presence in the US market.

Despite initial expectations that Boeing would announce new agreements, particularly involving Air India and Ethiopian Airlines, no such announcements were made. Instead, Boeing showcased its Boeing 787 and Boeing 777 models through static displays provided by Riyadh Air and Qatar Airways.

Boeing's decision to focus on customer support over unveiling new orders was highlighted by CEO Kelly Ortberg and Commercial Airplanes President Stephanie Pope canceling their trips to France. The company's marketing team emphasized this approach: "Our focus is on supporting our customers, rather than announcing orders at this airshow."

In total, manufacturers secured 381 firm orders and an additional 235 options during the event. While Airbus dominated the show due to Boeing's limited presence, Embraer managed to make notable gains in certain markets.
