Aeroméxico has announced the launch of a new daily direct route from Mexico City International Airport (AICM) to Cali, marking its fourth destination in Colombia. The announcement was made on X.

According to Aviacionaldía, Aeroméxico’s direct route between Mexico City and Cali's Alfonso Bonilla Aragón International Airport officially resumed on June 19, 2025. This re-establishes a vital link between Mexico and Colombia’s Valle del Cauca region. The route had been discontinued in 2019 due to shifting demand but was reinsaid in response to increased travel interest and growing economic ties between both countries. Aviacionaldía highlights that this move benefits leisure and business travelers while supporting cultural and commercial connections between Mexico and southwestern Colombia.

Aviaciónline reports that with the inauguration of this route, Cali becomes Aeroméxico’s fourth Colombian destination, joining Bogotá, Medellín, and Cartagena. The new service operates daily using Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, each with a capacity of approximately 166 passengers. According to Aviaciónline, the flights are scheduled to facilitate onward connections from Mexico City to various domestic and international destinations.
