Chase has entered the premium business credit card market with the introduction of the Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business. This new card aims to compete with existing options such as The Business Platinum Card from American Express and Capital One Venture X Business. The annual fee for this card is $795, but it offers various credits and benefits to offset this cost.

The Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business features a significant welcome offer: new applicants can earn 200,000 bonus points after spending $30,000 within the first six months of account opening. According to June 2025 valuations by TPG, this offer is valued at approximately $4,100.

"The Points Guy" noted that since the card has just launched, it is uncertain if this offer will change in the future. The card does not count toward Chase's 5/24 rule because it is a business credit card; however, applicants must be under 5/24 to qualify for approval. There are currently no restrictions on welcome bonus eligibility for those who have previously received a bonus on a consumer Sapphire card.

Cardholders can earn 8 points per dollar spent on purchases made through Chase Travel, 5 points per dollar on Lyft purchases until September 30, 2027, 4 points per dollar on flights and hotels booked directly, and additional points in other categories. Points can be transferred to Chase's airline and hotel partners or redeemed through Chase Travel.

The Sapphire Reserve for Business also provides statement credits tailored to businesses, including up to $500 annually for The Edit hotel program and various other credits totaling over $1,400 annually. Additionally, there are travel-related benefits like IHG One Rewards Platinum Elite status and lounge access.

For business owners who frequently travel or spend significantly in these categories, this card could provide substantial value.
