Delta Air Lines has announced new nonstop flights from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport to Barcelona and Rome, set to begin in the summer of 2026. The airline will also introduce two new lounges at the airport: a Delta One Lounge and a Delta Sky Club. These developments are part of Delta's broader strategy to enhance its services in Seattle.

"Delta’s commitment runs deep in Seattle, from our people on the ground to our global ambitions in the skies," said Glen Hauenstein, President of Delta Air Lines. "With new international service and the opening of our Delta One Lounge, we’re investing in what matters most to our customers—exceptional, premium experiences—and reinforcing our role as Seattle’s largest global carrier."

The new daily nonstop flights aim to improve connectivity for travelers visiting Europe. Customers will travel on Airbus A330-900neo aircraft equipped with premium cabin experiences such as lie-flat seats and upgraded dining options.

Port of Seattle Commissioner Fred Felleman expressed support for the expansion, stating, “We welcome the opportunity to grow our partnership with Delta as they expand Seattle’s connections to international communities and businesses.”

The newly announced lounges are located near Gate A11 and offer various amenities including panoramic views, locally sourced dining options, and an eco-friendly design. Claude Roussel, VP of Sky Clubs and Lounge Experience at Delta, noted that these spaces reflect "Delta’s commitment to delivering experiences customers can look forward to through every step of their journey."

Beyond aesthetics and comfort, sustainability is also a focus at these facilities. Smart windows adjust based on sunlight exposure while reusable dinnerware helps reduce waste.

These investments align with Delta's long-term engagement with Seattle where it employs 2,700 individuals across Washington state. The company maintains partnerships with local brands like Starbucks and T-Mobile while supporting community organizations throughout the region.

SEA-FCO service is scheduled for launch on May 6th, 2026 followed by SEA-BCN on May 7th.
