Delta Air Lines has unveiled its latest business-class lounge at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), marking a significant development in its competition with Alaska Airlines for dominance at the airport. The new Delta One Lounge, opening Thursday, is part of Delta's strategy to attract travelers by offering premium services and amenities.

The lounge is located in a newly constructed area at the far end of Concourse A, adjacent to Gate A11. This construction project cost over $125 million, funded by Delta. The new facility also includes a Sky Club set to open on Wednesday.

Access to the Delta One Lounge is restricted primarily to those flying on long-haul business- or first-class itineraries with Delta and its partners. Eligible travelers include those on same-day departing, connecting, or arriving Delta One flights, members of Delta's invite-only 360 status traveling first class, and passengers on select partner airlines' first- or business-class cabins.

The lounge features an open design with plenty of seating options and a wraparound terrace offering views of the surrounding mountains and tarmac. Dining options include locally inspired dishes such as hot sticky pork ribs and salmon teriyaki. However, there are no self-serve dining or beverage options; servers will offer selections from the menu.

Amenities in the Seattle outpost are more limited compared to other locations like New York due to space constraints. While it lacks some features found in larger lounges, such as showers or spa services, it offers fast Wi-Fi and power outlets throughout.

In addition to the Delta One Lounge, a new Sky Club will provide additional space for travelers with various seating options and dining offerings. This expansion aims to enhance the experience for Seattle-based flyers amid ongoing competition with Alaska Airlines.
