On June 24, Royal Air Maroc began operations at London Stansted Airport, marking its entry into the UK's fourth-busiest airport. This development allows the oneworld airline to connect its Casablanca hub with four UK airports: London Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, and Manchester. The airline is set to offer a record 22 weekly departures in July, which will increase to 25 when including flights from Rabat to Gatwick.

According to Cirium Diio data, this is Royal Air Maroc's first operation at Stansted. Previously, in 2009, Air Arabia Maroc briefly served the Essex market. The new route between Casablanca and Stansted spans 1,162 nautical miles (2,150 km) each way and will operate until September 14 with three weekly flights aboard a Boeing 737-800. These services are intended to better serve the Moroccan diaspora in North and East London.

The schedule for Stansted differs from Royal Air Maroc's other UK routes. With a departure time of 03:00 from Casablanca, these flights do not connect with the airline's broader network across Western and Central Africa. Instead, they focus on point-to-point traffic while freeing up capacity on other London routes for transfer passengers. Between May 2024 and April 2025, there were approximately 110,000 round-trip local passengers traveling between London and Casablanca.

Royal Air Maroc is currently the sole operator connecting Morocco's largest city with the UK after facing competition between 2012 and 2014 from Air Arabia Maroc on the Casablanca-Gatwick route. In addition to this new service at Stansted, Royal Air Maroc offers nine weekly flights to Heathrow using a mix of Boeing aircraft and daily flights to Gatwick and Manchester.

In July alone, Stansted will host a total of 38 weekly departures to Morocco by various airlines: three by Royal Air Maroc, four by Jet2, and thirty-one by Ryanair using its UK unit due to bilateral regulations. Despite Gatwick having more overall flights at forty-eight per week, Stansted leads in terms of destination variety with connections to eight Moroccan cities including Agadir, Essaouira, Fez, Marrakech, Ouarzazate, Rabat, Tangier as well as Casablanca.
