The Park Hyatt Johannesburg is set to open its doors on July 1, a month earlier than initially planned. This new hotel, which is a conversion of The Winston Hotel in Rosebank, Johannesburg, will be the smallest Park Hyatt in the world with only 31 rooms and suites.

Mitch Gemmell, the general manager of the hotel, explained that "every element — including the curated guest experiences, dining, rooms [and] suites — has been thoughtfully considered to create an intimate and sophisticated retreat in the heart of Rosebank."

Guests can expect luxurious amenities such as round soaking tubs and private terraces overlooking lush gardens. The property will also feature a wellness suite and year-round access to a heated courtyard pool.

Dining options include The Dining Room with open-flame cooking, The Terrace for alfresco dining, and The Lounge offering Cape wines and Cuban cigars. According to Gemmell, "our focus is on delivering understated luxury," emphasizing personalized service and curated experiences.

The surrounding area of Rosebank offers guests access to exciting restaurants, design studios, and contemporary art spaces. For those interested in booking a stay at this Category 6 property using World of Hyatt points, award nights start at 21,000 points per night. Alternatively, guests can book the "Member Grand Opening" rate at $450 per night which includes breakfast.

Gemmell stated that their vision is "to offer an experience that is both globally sophisticated and deeply connected to Johannesburg's vibrant energy."
