Cathay Pacific has announced the launch of a new flight route connecting Munich and Hong Kong, marking its inaugural departure from Munich Airport. This development was shared in a post on X.

According to the official post by Cathay Pacific, the airline's inaugural flight from Munich Airport to Hong Kong signifies the start of regular service between the two cities. The announcement included celebratory images from the gate area, highlighting enthusiasm from passengers and airport staff. Cathay Pacific emphasized Munich's importance as a new European gateway in its expanding international network.

In a news release, Cathay Pacific said that the Munich–Hong Kong route will operate several times per week, offering direct, nonstop flights between southern Germany and one of Asia’s major economic centers. The airline said this service is tailored to meet the needs of both business and leisure travelers seeking efficient access to Hong Kong and beyond. Cathay Pacific noted that the new route will enhance travel convenience and foster closer economic ties between Germany and the Asia-Pacific region.
