On June 16th, a flight from Amsterdam to Toronto had to return to its origin airport. The airline discovered that the aircraft was missing scheduled maintenance and that its airworthiness would expire during the flight.

"KLM can confirm that flight KL695 on June 16, operated by an Airbus A330-200, returned to Amsterdam due to an administrative oversight regarding the airworthiness certificate of the aircraft," said KLM in a statement.

The incident highlights the importance of adhering to maintenance schedules for aircraft safety and compliance with aviation regulations. KLM stated that all passengers were accommodated on other flights after the aircraft's return.
