Aventure Aviation has announced a significant deal, acquiring 12 Boeing 737 Next Generation aircraft from Alaska Airlines. The planes will be dismantled at Aventure's Peachtree City facility to provide parts for Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) shops globally.
Aventure is based in the Atlanta area, near Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, one of the largest airports and MRO centers worldwide. This location allows Aventure to efficiently supply parts for the popular airliner model.
Alaska Airlines has been expanding its operations, including a major acquisition of Hawaiian Airlines in 2024. Despite this growth, Alaska is transitioning its fleet from older models like the 737 NG to newer ones such as the 737 MAX series. As Talha Faruqi, President of Aventure Aviation stated: “This is a major milestone for Aventure…it’s by far the largest amount of aircraft we have purchased at one time."
