JetBlue Airways has announced a change in its flight schedule between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport (AMS). The airline will now operate this route seasonally, focusing on the summer months. According to Cirium, an aviation analytics company, the last flight for this summer season will be on October 28, 2025, with service resuming on March 28, 2026.

The decision to adjust the schedule is likely due to reduced demand during winter. Data from Cirium indicates that load factors were lower between November 2024 and February 2025 compared to the previous summer. However, load factors do not always reflect profitability as lower fares can lead to higher loads without necessarily being profitable.

JetBlue launched its direct service from JFK to AMS in 2023 and has operated it year-round until now. The route uses Airbus A321LR aircraft equipped with Mint suites, accommodating a total of 138 passengers across two classes.

The airline's transatlantic network has expanded since it began operations in Europe in 2021. JetBlue primarily operates these flights from Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and JFK. It offers services to several European destinations including London Heathrow (LHR), Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG), and Madrid (MAD).

In addition to changes on the JFK-AMS route, JetBlue is expanding its Mint business class experience beyond transatlantic flights. Starting late October 2025, Mint suites will be available on flights between Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Las Vegas' Harry Reid International Airport (LAS). Furthermore, new services are planned from Newark Liberty International Airport with expanded routes to Los Angeles International Airport and Las Vegas.

JetBlue continues adapting its strategy within the competitive low-cost carrier market for transatlantic travel while also enhancing its domestic offerings with premium services like Mint.
