Flying Food Group recently announced on LinkedIn the celebration of employee participation in the Sue Gin Fund at its Honolulu facility.

According to Southland Marquee, the Sue Ling Gin Foundation Trust, established by Flying Food Group's founder, directs all company profits to philanthropic initiatives. CEO David Cotton emphasized that this commitment honors Sue Gin's legacy and fosters a culture of community support within the company. The foundation focuses on areas such as education, healthcare, and community services.

Southland Marquee reported that in 2023, the Sue Ling Gin Foundation awarded over 25 scholarships totaling $129,800 to students pursuing careers in catering and airline services. Additionally, the foundation donated $20 million to Chicago’s Field Museum for the Sue Ling Gin Center for Education and Public Programs and $10 million to the Chinese American Service League to support community services. These contributions reflect the foundation's commitment to education and community development.

Flying Food Group's Honolulu facility is a 90,000 square-foot unit catering to major airlines such as All Nippon Airways and Hawaiian Airlines. According to PAX International, the facility was launched to streamline operations and enhance service quality by consolidating two catering units into one. This strategic move supports the company's ability to meet the diverse dietary needs of international travelers.

Flying Food Group, founded in 1983 by Sue Ling Gin, is a U.S.-based airline catering company serving over 70 international and domestic airlines. The company operates more than 15 kitchen facilities across the United States, emphasizing culinary creativity and customization to deliver high-quality meals. Under Cotton's leadership, Flying Food Group continues to expand its customer base and locations.
