Federal Express Corporation, commonly known as FedEx, has announced the winners of the 2025 FedEx/Junior Achievement International Trade Challenge (FedEx/JA ITC) Japan Finals. The six students will advance to compete in the Asia Pacific regional finals set for August 2025.

For nearly two decades, FedEx has collaborated with JA Japan to foster future leaders in business through the ITC program. This initiative involves students in activities and workshops centered on global trade, facilitated by both organizations. It aims to equip young entrepreneurs with necessary skills for success.

This year's challenge required participants to create a market entry strategy for China focusing on sustainable products that reduce waste from fast fashion returns. The students' ideas demonstrated critical thinking and creativity.

The Japanese representatives are Miki Kamochi and Haruki Kawamata from Tokyo with their product DimensionView; Tomoharu Hayakawa and Yui Motoishi also from Tokyo with SnapFit; and Sumire Yamamoto and Riyo Shimizu from Tokyo with StitchSnap.

In Singapore, these students will join peers from other regions including Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam for the regional finals. This provides them an opportunity to collaborate and exchange ideas across cultures.

Ken McMahon of FedEx praised this year's participants: "We are truly impressed by the creativity and dedication displayed by all of the ITC student participants this year. Their critical thinking skills and ability to develop innovative solutions highlight their potential as future business leaders for Japan and the global community."

Since its inception in Japan in 2008, over 2,400 high school students have participated in FedEx/JA ITC events aimed at enhancing understanding of international trade.

Further details about this year’s competition can be accessed via JA Japan's website at https://www.ja-japan.org/contests/ITC.html.
