On June 29, 2025, a catering minivan operated by Sky Chefs collided with a parked American Eagle Embraer E175LR aircraft at Boston Logan International Airport. The impact resulted in the minivan being crushed beneath the aircraft, causing visible damage to the jet's underbelly.

The Republic Airways-operated aircraft, on behalf of American Eagle, was unoccupied during the incident. The driver of the minivan sustained minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital for evaluation. Following the collision, the damaged aircraft was moved to the American Airlines maintenance hangar for inspection.

The Embraer E175LR is commonly used by American Eagle for short to mid-range flights and typically seats 76 passengers across First Class, Premium Economy, and Economy sections.

This event is part of a series of recent ground-related incidents involving Republic Airways-operated Embraer E175 aircraft. In April 2025, two American Airlines planes clipped wings at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, including an Embraer E175 operated by Republic Airways.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has been informed about this incident in Boston and is expected to conduct an investigation to determine its cause and suggest safety measures to prevent future occurrences.
