San Bernardino International Airport has announced the promotion of nonstop summer travel to Provo, Utah, emphasizing the region's outdoor and family-friendly attractions from July through October.

According to San Bernardino International Airport's (SBD) post on X, the airport is recommending Provo as an ideal destination for travelers seeking summer and early fall getaways. The post highlights that during July through October, when daylight is longer, Provo offers visitors the chance to experience "golden" sunlight and vibrant landscapes. This characteristic of Utah's warm season is well-documented by local travel guides. SBD positions Provo as a favorite among its nonstop destinations, aiming to boost tourism during peak travel months.

The phrase "From A to Z, aquariums to zoos" reflects the variety of family attractions accessible from Provo. These include the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium in Draper, which houses more than 4,000 animals and is consistently rated as a top aquarium in Utah according to Yelp. Families can also visit Utah’s Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake City, featuring over 800 animals and considered a leading family destination by Tripadvisor users. Both attractions are within a one-hour drive from Provo, making them convenient day trips for visitors.

Provo is renowned for its extensive outdoor recreation opportunities. The City of Provo describes the area as "a haven for outdoor enthusiasts" due to its proximity to mountains, rivers, and scenic parks. Activities such as hiking in Provo Canyon, biking along the Provo River Trail, and boating on Utah Lake are highly recommended in the city’s official outdoor guide. The city notes that the region’s natural beauty and favorable weather make it especially attractive from July through October.

According to San Bernardino International Airport, SBD is a regional airport located in Southern California served by Breeze Airways with nonstop flights to Provo. The airport provides travelers with an alternative to crowded Los Angeles basin airports, focusing on convenience and affordable service to recreational destinations. SBD's official website states that it is expanding air service to connect Southern California residents with top destinations like Provo for both leisure and family travel.
