Hainan Airlines has announced the formal implementation of its codeshare agreement with Air Europa, set to commence on July 1, 2025. This collaboration aims to enhance connectivity across Asia, Europe, and Latin America.

According to Hainan Airlines on X, this strategic partnership is expected to provide more efficient and seamless travel options for passengers traveling between these regions. The announcement highlights both airlines' commitment to strengthening international air travel networks and offering customers more convenient itineraries.

TravelDailyMedia reports that under the new codeshare agreement, Hainan Airlines’ flight code "HU" will be applied to Air Europa’s long-haul flights from Madrid to key Latin American cities such as Lima, São Paulo, Salvador de Bahía, and Panama City. This integration will enable travelers to book a single itinerary and check luggage through to their final destination, simplifying the travel process. The report also notes that Hainan Airlines already operates direct flights from Chongqing and Shenzhen to Madrid, making this partnership a natural extension of their route network.
