Etihad Airways has announced the introduction of new routes to Salalah, Oman, starting May 21, 2026, and Krakow, Poland, beginning June 16, 2026. The announcement was made via a post on X.

According to Etihad Airways on X, the airline will launch nonstop flights to Salalah in Oman on May 21, 2026, and to Krakow in Poland on June 16, 2026. The announcement positions these two destinations as ideal choices for travelers seeking either "coastal beauty" or "the charm of Krakow," highlighting the diversity in Etihad’s expanding route network. By offering direct access to both cities, Etihad continues its strategy of establishing new tourism and business links from Abu Dhabi to key destinations worldwide.

As highlighted by Breaking Travel News, Salalah is renowned for its unique Khareef monsoon season, green landscapes, pristine beaches, and archaeological heritage. This makes it a top summer getaway in the Gulf. The launch of direct service by Etihad Airways is expected to attract tourists from the UAE and international markets looking for a cooler destination during the region’s hot season. Tourism authorities anticipate that the new route will contribute to economic growth and strengthen bilateral travel and trade ties between Oman and the UAE.
