Emirates Airlines has reported a significant consumption of luxury chocolates by its passengers over the past year. The airline, known for enhancing the 'fly better' experience, serves artisan chocolates as part of its meal service across all classes to 140 destinations worldwide. Economy Class passengers consumed 36.6 million individual chocolates, while those in the newly introduced Premium Economy Class enjoyed 1.06 million chocolates. Business Class travelers indulged in 9.1 million chocolates, and First Class passengers, who have access to unlimited chocolates and can take away their favorite flavors, relished approximately 13.4 million individual chocolates through large gourmet chocolate boxes.

The airline collaborates with renowned chocolatiers globally and rotates the selection every six months to keep frequent flyers delighted. Current brands include Coco Jalila from the UAE, Valrhona from France, and Canonica and Neuhaus from Belgium. These brands are chosen based on factors such as chocolate type—dark, milk or white—and fillings like creamy ganache or tangy fruit.

Emirates offers various chocolate desserts onboard across all classes. In First Class, options include pistachio and chocolate mousse cake with praline and warm chocolate fondant with raspberry coulis. Business Class features vegan avocado chocolate tart and banana mango milk chocolate dome among others. Premium Economy serves desserts like chocolate mousse cake with passion fruit core while Economy offers rich chocolate mousse with crème anglaise.

On longer routes, snack trays include chocolate candy bars and children receive chocolate lollipops during festive times. First Class goodie baskets feature Lindt's 85% dark chocolate while A380 Onboard lounge provides vegan and non-vegan treats including M&Ms.

In Dubai lounges, Emirates offers homemade ice cream and signature Costa Coffee hot chocolate alongside MasterChef creations. First Class lounges serve Sacher cake—a dense Austrian torte—and other delicacies like Marveille cake with hazelnut praline or white ganache cake with strawberries.

Business lounges offer pastries like a light chou filled with rich crème pâtissier topped with dark glaze or hazelnut crunchie layered with mousse on a praline base. Vegan choices include fudgy brownies made from cocoa and dairy-free chips.
