Recent updates to the Chase Sapphire Reserve and Chase Sapphire Preferred cards have introduced a new feature called Points Boost. This addition allows cardholders to potentially increase the value of their Chase Ultimate Rewards points when booking travel through the Chase Travel site.

Points Boost can enhance point value up to 2 cents per point for those with the Chase Sapphire Reserve, while holders of the Chase Sapphire Preferred can see values up to 1.5 cents for hotels and 1.75 cents for some flights. This marks an increase from previous fixed values of 1.5 cents per point with the Sapphire Reserve and 1.25 cents per point with the Sapphire Preferred.

For a limited time, those who open a new account can earn significant bonuses: "Chase Sapphire Reserve: For a limited time, earn 100,000 bonus points + $500 Chase Travel℠ promo credit after spending $5,000 on purchases in the first three months from account opening."

The Points Boost feature has shown tangible benefits in real-world applications, such as booking hotels near Disneyland at significantly reduced points compared to traditional Marriott Bonvoy rates. Additionally, properties like J.W. Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek and Bellagio in Las Vegas are part of The Edit program offering additional perks like free breakfast and property credits.

In summary, Points Boost offers cardholders more flexibility and value when using their points for travel bookings through Chase's platform.
