Greg Foran Chief Executive Officer | Air New Zealand

Air New Zealand has launched Dream Seats, a nationwide initiative aimed at supporting New Zealanders in pursuing their dreams. The program will provide over 100 individuals with flights to help them move closer to achieving their ambitions, whether within New Zealand or internationally.

Greg Foran, Chief Executive of Air New Zealand, emphasized the importance of dreaming big as part of Kiwi culture. "At Air New Zealand, we've always believed in the potential of New Zealanders to make a positive impact both at home in Aotearoa and globally," he stated. "Dream Seats is an extension of that belief."

The search for dreamers will be supported by prominent figures such as Ryan Fox, Dame Valerie Adams, Shaun Johnson, Josh Emett, Simran Kaur, and Tom Sainsbury. Each ambassador will award two Dream Seats to standout applicants and offer mentoring support.

Josh Emett shared his personal journey: "I left New Zealand with a one-way ticket to London and a dream of making it in the food world." He expressed his desire to support others who need an extra push.

Applications are open on dreamseats.co.nz for those wishing to share their stories and explain how a Dream Seat could aid their progress. Greg Foran clarified that this initiative is not about granting wishes but supporting those already working hard toward their goals.

Air New Zealand encourages all Kiwis from Cape Rēinga to Bluff to participate. As Ryan Fox noted: "Representing New Zealand on the world stage has been one of the great honours of my life." Shaun Johnson echoed this sentiment by highlighting the importance of travel and support systems in his career.

Dame Valerie Adams also reflected on her experiences: "Sports has brought me to countless places around the globe... Travel was an integral part of my journey."
