Emirates inaugurated its revamped Travel Store in Seoul on July 9, marking a significant milestone for the airline as it celebrates 20 years of operations in South Korea. The opening event was attended by senior executives including Nabil Sultan, Executive Vice President for Passenger Sales and Country Management; Orhan Abbas, Senior Vice President for Commercial Operations in the Far East; and Jim Chang, Country Manager South Korea. His Excellency Abdulla Saif Ali Al Nuaimi, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, along with other distinguished guests and media partners were also present.

Nabil Sultan remarked on the occasion: “As we mark 20 years of operations in South Korea, the opening of our travel store in Seoul not only celebrates our decades-long journey but also delivers our reimagined travel retail experience to Korean travellers. This space aims to evolve the customer experience through more innovative solutions, translating our ‘Fly Better’ promise into a more tangible and locally relevant experience for our customers.”

The Emirates Travel Store is situated in Jongno-gu, a bustling business and lifestyle district in Seoul. It provides a dedicated area where visitors can explore the airline's signature products and services within an environment inspired by its onboard interiors.

Covering an area of 132 square meters, the store features warm beige tones, ambient lighting, and incorporates the Ghaf Tree motif into its design. The Ghaf Tree holds cultural significance as it is considered the national tree of the United Arab Emirates. The seating arrangement mirrors that of Emirates’ premium lounges.

A notable feature of the store is the First Class Private Suite display which offers insight into one of Emirates' most renowned products. Visitors can engage with expert travel consultants at designated counters for flight bookings and itinerary planning. The retail experience includes smart technologies such as a self-service kiosk, interactive selfie mirror, and digital displays highlighting Emirates’ latest routes and offers.

This development highlights two decades of connecting Korea to global destinations.
