Airbus has announced the delivery of 306 commercial aircraft in the first half of 2025, marking a 5.56% decrease compared to the same period last year, according to Reuters. The company also received 494 gross orders in this timeframe, resulting in a net total of 402 orders after accounting for cancellations.

In June alone, Airbus delivered 63 planes to 35 operators, contributing to a global fleet of 14,352 Airbus jets currently in operation. Despite initial projections, Airbus outperformed Boeing by delivering three more aircraft in June, with Boeing reporting 60 deliveries.

Guillaume Faury, Chief Executive Officer of Airbus, addressed the company's Q1 performance stating: "Our Q1 results demonstrate the progress we are making on our priorities across the business. We are ramping up production in line with our plan but the delivery profile will be backloaded, reflecting the specific supply chain challenges we are facing this year."

Earlier disruptions due to Spirit AeroSystems affected Airbus's supply chain for A350 and A220 models. However, Airbus anticipates around 820 deliveries by year-end. The production rate for the A330 is increasing monthly with an aim for 75 units per month by 2027.

Airbus recently finalized an agreement with Spirit AeroSystems for $439 million to acquire assets related to its commercial aircraft programs. This includes facilities in Winston, North Carolina; St. Nazaire; Casablanca; Wichita; and Belfast.

The aerospace industry has been recovering from pandemic-related disruptions but faces ongoing challenges exacerbated by global trade disputes. Nonetheless, Airbus's multinational supply chain strategy remains resilient amid these issues.
