Airlines are increasingly introducing new promotions to boost travel and loyalty program engagement. Turkish Airlines recently launched a global offer that allowed its Miles&Smiles loyalty members to earn one million bonus miles by flying to six continents within a specified timeframe. The campaign, titled "Route: 6 Continents," started on June 27 and was originally scheduled to run until late October but has ended early.

The airline confirmed that the promotion officially concluded as of July 8, likely due to high participation rates. Under the original terms, members needed to book and complete qualifying travel between June 27 and October 27. Following the update, only those who purchased at least one eligible ticket by July 8 will remain qualified for the bonus miles if they finish their six-continent trips by the deadline.

According to Turkish Airlines, members must complete flights to six continents with the airline by October 27 to qualify for the one million mile reward. Only arrival destinations count; departure points and transit stops are excluded. All itineraries must begin in or pass through Turkey, and direct intra-regional flights do not meet the requirement.

Additionally, the Route: 6 Continents campaign applies only to flights operated by Turkish Airlines. Codeshare services and partner-operated flights are not eligible. Award tickets, corporate agreements, staff fares, and special passenger categories such as student or medical bookings are excluded. Tickets issued with a promo code also do not qualify.

Passengers need to credit flights to their Miles&Smiles account before departure as no retroactive claims will be accepted. Turkish Airlines confirmed this in a statement: "Thank you for the great interest you have shown in our Route: 6 Continents campaign... Members who purchased at least one ticket or completed a flight across six continents by July 8, 2025, will retain their eligibility."

If eligible members complete the challenge, Turkish Airlines will credit one million bonus miles between November 1 and November 15. These miles cannot be used for membership tier upgrades.

Turkish Airlines operates an extensive international network and holds a Guinness World Record for flying to more countries than any other airline. It serves numerous domestic and international destinations across various countries.

The airline is also offering another time-limited promotion targeting travelers from select Balkan markets with low-cost one-way economy class tickets from Ohrid, Skopje, and Pristina to Istanbul.
