Royal Air Maroc is reportedly in discussions with several aircraft manufacturers to acquire up to 200 new planes, as the airline aims to modernize and expand its fleet. Sources cited by Reuters suggest that the Moroccan carrier is considering options from Embraer, Airbus, and Boeing.

According to the Brazilian newspaper Folha de S.Paulo, Royal Air Maroc is looking at Embraer's second-generation E2 jet family for regional and medium-haul operations. The E2 series includes models such as the smaller E175-E2, the mid-sized E190-E2, and the larger 146-seat E195-E2. Currently, Royal Air Maroc operates four Embraer E190 jets.

The airline has been evaluating aircraft proposals for over a year. Bloomberg reported in June 2025 that Boeing might supply around 24 long-haul 787s and up to 50 medium-haul 737s. Meanwhile, Reuters indicated that Airbus could secure an order of about 20 A220 jets.

Royal Air Maroc's current fleet consists of 63 aircraft, with Boeing making up the majority with 47 units. The fleet includes various models like Boeing 737-800s, Boeing 737 MAX 8s, and Boeing Dreamliners. The airline also operates wet-leased aircraft such as ATR turboprops and Airbus jets.

Operating from Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca, Royal Air Maroc connects Morocco with destinations across Africa, Europe, the Americas, and the Middle East. It is a member of the oneworld alliance.
