Tim Clark President at Emirates | Official Website

Emirates is planning to revamp its first-class suites on the Airbus A380, according to Sir Tim Clark, the airline's president. The announcement was made at the International Air Transport Association - Annual General Meeting & World Air Transport Summit 2025 in New Delhi. The new design aims to upgrade Emirates' offerings, likening it to a hotel that needs continuous updates.

The airline's Boeing 777s already feature 'game changer' suites with floor-to-ceiling walls and zero gravity seats. These designs are expected to influence the new suites on the A380-800. Changes may include larger suites and options for couples, similar to Lufthansa's Allegris First Class.

Business class seats with doors, as seen on Emirates 777X, might also be introduced on the A380. This move aligns with Emirates' plan to maintain the A380 in its fleet despite production ending, due to delays in new aircraft deliveries.

Refurbishments have begun on Emirates' A380s with changes like softer cabin tones and cream leather upholstery. New features include a second-generation cocktail bar and upgraded first-class seats offering more privacy and comfort. The shower suites now feature hand-stenciled UAE geography panels.

The redesigned bar area draws inspiration from private yachts, providing an intimate space for socializing among elite passengers. Upgraded carpets and improved satellite-powered WiFi are also part of the enhancements available for Emirates Skywards frequent fliers.

Additionally, a Premium Economy class has been introduced as part of the cabin overhaul. This section offers a 40" seat pitch in a 2-4-2 layout and includes amenities like adjustable headrests and priority boarding.
