Aeroplan members should check their accounts as Air Canada's loyalty program is running a flash sale offering up to a 100% bonus on purchased points through July 17. The promotion might be targeted, so different offers may appear for different members.

The sale features a tiered bonus system based on the number of points bought:

- A 55% bonus for purchasing between 5,000 to 29,000 points.

- A 75% bonus for purchasing between 30,000 to 79,000 points.

- A full 100% bonus for purchases ranging from 80,000 to 500,000 points.

Aeroplan usually limits purchases to 250,000 points per transaction but has increased this limit to 500,000 points during the sale. This means buyers could potentially acquire up to a million points at a cost of nearly $14,000. The maximum bonus halves the cost per point down to approximately 1.88 Canadian cents or about 1.37 U.S. cents each.

It's important to note that if using a U.S. credit card and billing address, no sales tax will be applied.

While TPG's July valuation puts Aeroplan point value under this purchase price at less than 1.4 cents per point, it's advised not to buy them just for stockpiling due to the nature of point devaluation over time.

If planning an Aeroplan redemption without sufficient existing points or considering cash ticket purchases, this offer could be financially beneficial. For instance, flying business class from Denver International Airport (DEN) to Munich Airport (MUC) costs only CA$78 ($57) plus Aeroplan miles during this sale.

When buying these points via Points.com instead of Air Canada directly, use cards optimized for everyday spending rather than those earning travel bonuses due to non-travel coding in transactions—ensure no foreign transaction fees apply with Canadian dollar charges.

Although buying promotions aren't always advantageous deals overall despite dynamic pricing adjustments within programs like Aeroplans’, evaluating personal needs against current opportunities by July’s deadline remains prudent advice offered here today!
