Ethiopian Airlines has announced the launch of a new four-times-weekly passenger service to Hanoi, Vietnam. The announcement was made on the social media platform X.

According to Ethiopian Airlines’ corporate press release, this route inaugurates the airline’s first passenger link to Vietnam and marks its 20th destination in Asia, underscoring its strategic expansion across the continent. The commencement on July 10, 2025, reflects the airline’s aim to enhance intercontinental connectivity between Ethiopia and Southeast Asia via its Addis Ababa hub.

As said in the March 18 pre-launch announcement, the service operates four weekly flights—Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays—from Addis Ababa to Hanoi via a one-stop in Dhaka using Boeing 787‑8 Dreamliners. This schedule offers balanced service frequency for both business and leisure travelers.
