United Airlines has announced the addition of 24 nonstop flights for major college football games this season, including additional routes from Newark to Notre Dame for New York-area fans. The announcement was made on the social media platform X.

According to Airways Magazine, United Airlines has scheduled these special flights around the biggest college football games in the 2024–25 season. This initiative aims to connect fans directly to cities hosting high-profile matchups, such as Columbus, South Bend, and Lincoln. The decision reflects United’s ongoing commitment to aligning flight schedules with key sporting and cultural events to better serve its customer base.

As reported by Aviation A2Z, United's new football flights will be available on select weekends from August through November. Routes include Austin to Columbus for Texas at Ohio State and Los Angeles to South Bend for USC at Notre Dame. These flights are timed to ensure fans can travel conveniently for game weekends and return promptly afterward. Aviation A2Z notes that these flights are not part of the regular schedule but were created specifically in response to anticipated demand for major college football events.
