German leisure airline Condor Airlines has announced an expansion of its long-haul fleet with the purchase of additional Airbus A330-900 aircraft. The order, confirmed on July 17, follows approval by the airline's supervisory board and includes four new A330-900 planes scheduled for delivery between 2029 and 2031. The airline has also secured options for four more units.

Condor CEO Peter Gerber stated that customer feedback and operational performance were key factors in the decision to invest further in the A330neo. "By ordering additional long-haul aircraft, we will open up new opportunities in the intercontinental business and continue the successful growth trajectory of recent years," he said.

The newly ordered aircraft will feature a three-class cabin layout with seats in business, premium economy, and economy classes. They will include an Airspace cabin designed to enhance passenger comfort with larger overhead bins, full onboard connectivity, and free in-flight entertainment.

Condor completed its long-haul fleet renewal program in 2024 and now offers a standardized onboard product across all intercontinental destinations. The A330neo has become central to Condor's operations since its first delivery in 2022, serving routes from Frankfurt to major cities such as New York JFK, Miami, Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, Toronto, Cancun, Punta Cana, Phuket, and Bangkok.

In line with its strategy to strengthen its long-haul network for the winter schedule of 2025/26, Condor plans to increase flight frequencies on several routes. This includes introducing a daily service between Stuttgart and Dubai and adding a second daily frequency between Berlin and Dubai. Additionally, services from Frankfurt to Thailand, South Africa, and Panama will be expanded due to rising seasonal demand.

Apart from expanding its long-haul capabilities, Condor is enhancing its short-haul network within Europe by launching eight new city break routes from Frankfurt this summer. These include destinations like Rome, Milan, Prague, Vienna, Zurich, Berlin Hamburg Munich.

Currently operating a fleet of 69 aircraft with expectations for 39 more deliveries apart from A330s; Condor's diverse fleet includes various models such as A320s (both standard & neo versions), A321s (standard & neo), along with Boeing 757-300s which are set for retirement at season end.
