Hyatt has introduced a new feature to enhance the experience of booking award nights on its website. The "points calendar" allows guests to see when award nights are available at specific properties. A Hyatt spokesperson explained, "Members can adjust dates, length of stay, guests, and room type to find the right reservation for them."

This feature is demonstrated with the Park Hyatt Chicago, where users can view availability month-to-month. It simplifies the process for members seeking free nights by using World of Hyatt points.

The tool is particularly useful for popular hotels like the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa, where availability can be scarce. Additionally, an interactive map now shows where points bookings are available and displays either the lowest points rate or cash rate if award nights aren't available.

Hyatt stated that this aims to "... make award travel easier than ever so members can confidently turn their points into unforgettable stays." The updated features are accessible through both the World of Hyatt app and website.
