US manufacturer Cirrus Aircraft is taking a sustainable approach by transforming used aircraft parachutes into stylish bags. Known for its SR series planes equipped with ballistic parachutes, Cirrus has teamed up with Duluth Pack, a Minnesota-based bag manufacturer, to create accessories from these old parachutes.

Cirrus announced that the collaboration involves repurposing material from the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System into three types of bags: the Cirrus Duffel, Logbook Briefcase, and Pilot Overnighter Bag. "The bags are handmade by Duluth Pack, the oldest canvas and leather bag maker in the United States," stated Cirrus Aircraft. The products are available online and at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2025.

These bags come with a price tag reflecting their craftsmanship and sustainability. The Pilot Overnighter Bag is priced at $500 and is designed for practicality on overnight trips. The Logbook Briefcase costs $170 and offers durability for carrying essential documents or a tablet. Meanwhile, the Cirrus Duffel is available for $255, featuring ample space for weekend gear.
