Embraer considers setting up production facility in Tunisia

Brazilian aerospace company Embraer is considering establishing a production or assembly facility in Tunisia. This move is part of its strategy to diversify its supplier base and expand production capacity. Although Tunisia currently has no Embraer operators, the potential hub would support operations across Africa, the Mediterranean, and Europe.

Embraer's Vice President of Africa - Commercial Aviation, Francisco Moraes, led a delegation that met with Tunisia’s Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA) on July 10. These discussions are aimed at integrating Embraer's expertise into Tunisia's aerospace ecosystem. The North African country boasts over 80 aerospace companies and more than 17,000 workers in the aviation sector.

While Embraer already holds a significant market share in Africa with nearly 200 aircraft operating on the continent, it does not yet have operators in Tunisia. However, establishing a facility there could position Tunisia as an industrial hub in North Africa.
