Adnan Kazim Deputy President & Chief Commercial Officer | Emirates Airlines

Emirates is set to introduce a third daily flight to Mauritius, beginning December 1, to support the increasing demand for travel to the Indian Ocean destination. This new service will be operated by a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, boosting seat capacity on this busy route by over 30 percent.

Currently, Emirates serves Mauritius with two daily flights using its A380 aircraft. The addition of the third service will enhance connectivity for travelers from the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas. The new flight schedule will also benefit customers from Far East markets such as Japan, China, Malaysia, and Hong Kong.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer expressed gratitude towards Mauritian authorities for facilitating this additional service. He stated: “We have been proudly serving Mauritius since 2002 and our double daily A380 services have been a major success and contributor to the growth of the country’s tourism industry."

The third daily flight will operate under a codeshare arrangement with Air Mauritius. Passengers can book seats in First Class, Business Class, and Economy Class on flight EK709 departing Dubai at 06:55 hrs and arriving in Mauritius at 13:40 hrs local time. Return flights from Mauritius as EK710 will depart at 18:30 hrs.

Tickets are available through various channels including emirates.com and travel agents. Since launching services to Mauritius in 2002, Emirates has carried over 8.8 million passengers and significantly contributed to the Mauritian economy through tourism-related spending.

Kazim highlighted Emirates' successful partnership with Air Mauritius since 2003 and collaboration with the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority since 2012 as key factors in driving demand across its global network.
